LOOK AT US is a zine by LA based stylist and photographer Gena Tuso. Each issue is a sartorial documentation of underground scenes from LA to London.
As a stylist and musician, Gena has always been inspired by subcultures and references that take into play from the past to the present. The evolution of iconic scenes and how they have evolved aesthetically and socially in today’s current climate.
Over the years of playing music and seeing shows, she has formed many relationships with various artists and musicians now in some of her photographs.
Her most recent issue featured a documentation of London’s queer and trans punk and post-punk scene, cast by Parma Ham and Dani Mejia. This issue was shot on film in London then completed on Facetime during 2020. Artists featured wore their favorite looks at home and on the streets of London. All proceeds went to Black Exchanges; an exchange of knowledge, unlearning western ideology.
OTHER PROJECTS include photo collaborations and creative direction, casting, styling and design for various projects with some of the zine’s favorite artists, publications and brands.
